Recipe of the Week: Pizza Margarita!
4 servings, 55 minutes cooking time, 195 calories per serving
Ingredients:
- 15 ounces of refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 kg of cherry tomatoes
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tbs of olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of fennel seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon of dried red pepper
- diced fresh mozarella
- chopped basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
- salt and pepper, of course =D
Preparation steps:
- preheat the oven to 425 degree F.
- roll the dough to make a rectangle about 12 x 8 inches, fold over the edge to make a border
- heat a large skillet about 2 minutes, add olive oil and tomatoes, sprinkle with salt and pepper, sautee until the tomatoes are charred for about 5 minutes
- Transfer it to a large bowl. add garlic, fennel and red pepper. crush the tomatoes in the bowl
- mix salt and pepper, cheese and chopped basil into another bowl
- sprinkle cheese mixture over the dough, and then put the tomatoes mixture on top.
- bake for 25 to 30 minutes
- garnish with basil once it's done.

5. Carrots
Contents: beta carotene, dietary fibre, antioxidants and minerals
What’s so great about it: It’s great for your eyes, fights off free radicals and of course – giggles – super low calories
Fun Facts: During World War II, Carrot is used as a cover-up story for the British RAF fighter pilots’ ability to shoot well at night, while in fact they used a cutting-edge radar technology at that time!
Best way to serve it: chicken soup with carrot mmm
4. Broccoli
Contents: Broccoli is high in vit C, K and A as well as dietary fiber and selenium
What’s so great about it: anti-cancer, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, this small veggie is ur true immune system’s superhero!
Fun Facts: China produces the most broccolies in the world: up to 8 million tonnes a year!
Best way to serve it: My bf’s fav broccoli menu: light-boiled broccoli (don’t boil it more than 10 minutes!) with melted cheese on top (add with salt and pepper sprinkle)
3. Onions
Contents: high carb, dietary fiber, Vitamin C, Folate, Calcium, Phosporus, Potassium
What’s so great about it: believed to have anti-inflammatory, anticholesterol, anticancer and antioxidant properties. In many parts of the world, onions are also used to treat open wound and skin diseases.
Fun Facts: Onions are the one of the main diet of Ancient Egyptian workers who built the pyramids!
Best way to serve it: sautee the onion pieces with garlic, diced beef, and slices of potato, add broth and a bit of chilli pepper, yum yum ;d
2. Collard Greens
Contents: calcium, Vitamin E, and beta-carotene, plus high selenium!
What’s so great about it: Widely considered to be healthy foods, collards are good sources of vitamin C and soluble fiber and contain multiple nutrients with potent anti-cancer properties.
Fun Facts: Roughly a quarter pound (approx. 100 g) of cooked collards contains only 46 calories!
Best way to serve it: saute it with olive oil, salt, and garlic. Mmm-mmm! :D
1. Sweet Potatoes
Contents: sweet potatoes are rich in complex carb, fiber, beta carotene (nutrient equivalent to vit A, vit C and vit B6, iron and calcium, making it the highest ranking veggie on earth :D
What’s so great about it: it helps stabilize blood pressure and is good for ur digestive system!
Fun Facts: Potatoes are still in the same family as the Morning Glory flower :D
Best way to serve it: my fav way of serving it is to boil it in salted water until it’s really mushy, add melted cheese with garlic and chopped celery on top!

Eat and Be Guilt-Free! :D
It’s common knowledge that most of the world population today is living an unhealthy/unbalanced diet. Excessive sugar, salt, preservatives, unhealthy fat, found in food packagings everytime you hit the nearby supermarket. Most common reason I’ve heard: “I have no time to serve something healthy!”, or “Healthy food taste aweful!” but seriously, there is no redemption when it comes to your health. Doing lots of exercises will reduce some calories in your body (read: SOME) but not the residue of unhealthy food that u put in your body everyday for years!
Most people think that diet means: cat-size portion, plain – tasteless food. That’s not true at all. We will find out how to make your diet fun and deeeelicious :D and guilt-free of course. Yay!
Dear people, eating healthy doesn’t have to be that bad. If all, it will make a balanced diet feels nice because you don’t have to adapt extremely from excess sugar and salt to a healthy meal. Also, it ensures a prolonged and healthy life =D Human body is just like a machine: it needs a balanced combination of protective and cleaning formula to make it perform optimally. I will gladly show you some recipes that are HEALTHY yet EASY, and most importantly, you don’t feel guilty eating em large because they don’t pack much calories. Feel free to share these recipes with your loved ones, and live a healthy lifestyle =)
